On Thursday, Depart U.S.A. via an overnight flight for Gdansk.
2nd Day/Fri - GDANSK. On arrival in Gdansk, Poland's Baltic Coast you will be transferred to the hotel. Time to rest and catch a first glimpse of this historic city. In the evening, welcome dinner in local restaurant. (Dinner)
3rd Day/Sat - GDANSK. This morning tour the beautiful city of Gdansk beautifully restored to its former glory when it was one of the most prosperous ports of Europe. Walk through the "Dlugi Targ" promenade with Artus Court and Neptun's Fountain to St. Mary's Church, largest Gothic church in Poland which can accommodate 25 thousand faithful. Continue to the Oliwa Cathedral where you will hear an organ concert played on the magnificent Rococo organ with moving angels. In Sopot resort you will walk on the longest Pier on the Baltic and admire deluxe spa-hotels along the beach. Return to Gdansk via Lenin's Shipyard, the birthplace of Solidarity. Afternoon is free to shop for amber souvenirs in abundance here. (Breakfast, Lunch)
4th Day/Sun - GDANSK-Malbork-TORUN. After breakfast, depart for medieval city of Torun. En route stop in Malbork to visit the largest fortified castle in Europe seat of powerful Teutonic Knights in the 15th century. Overnight in Torun best known as a birthplace of the greatest Polish astronomer, N. Copernicus. (Breakfast, Dinner)
5th Day/Mon - TORUN-WARSAW. Start the day with a short tour of the gothic monuments of Torun, its 13th century Town Hall, the "Leaning Tower", St. John's Cathedral where Copernicus was baptized. You will taste the traditional gingerbread prepared according to the centuries-old secret recipe. In the afternoon journey South to the Polish capital of Warsaw for overnight.(Breakfast, Dinner)
6th Day/Tue - WARSAW. After buffet breakfast you will get acquainted with this heroic city largely destroyed during WWII. Your city tour includes the colorful Old Town with fashionable restaurants, shops and cozy cafes, the Royal Castle Square, St John’s Cathedral, oldest church in Warsaw. For coffe break we invite you for Polish dougnut "paczki" in a garden cafe. Via Royal Route continue to Lazienki Park built by last monarch of Poland with Chopin’s monument where summer concerts are held. Balance of the day is free to walk around the old town and Nowy Swiat Street - Polish Fifth Avenue. (Breakfast, Dinner)
7th Day/Wed - WARSAW-Czestochowa-Wadowice-ZAKOPANE. This morning journey to Czestochowa, pilgrimage center of Poland with Jasna Gora Monastery where the miraculous icon of the Black Madonna is venerated. Pauline Father will introduce you to the turbulent history of the shrine and its treasures. After lunch in a local restaurant, continue South via Wadowice, birthplace of Pope John Paul II, to the resort of Zakopane hidden in the majestic Tatra Mountains. For dinner, on your own, you may visit one of the typical cottages with a folk band serving local specialties. (Breakfast, Lunch)
8th Day/Thu - ZAKOPANE-KRAKOW. Spend a relaxing morning in this charming town with unique folklore and architecture. Guided tour includes its best known sites ending at the foot of the Gubalowka Mountain where a funicular will take you up the hill for breathtaking views. Here you can browse the local bazaar for arts and crafts of the local mountaineers, "Gorale".. After lunch on your own, depart for Krakow and check-in at your hotel in the Old Town within walking distance to most of tourist attractions. Evening is free to experience the medieval atmosphere of this charming city. (Breakfast, Dinner)
9th Day/Fri - KRAKOW-Wieliczka-KRAKOW. Today you will spend discovering medieval treasures of Krakow including the St. Mary's Church with the biggest Gothic wooden altar and the imposing Wawel Hill with the Coronation Cathedral from where Polish kings ruled for four centuries. In the afternoon depart for Wieliczka Salt Mine to discover its underground wonders of grottoes, chapels, sculptures on a 1.5 mile tourist route. In the evening farewell dinner in a fine restaurant in the old town. (Breakfast, Dinner)
10th Day/Sat - KRAKOW. After breakfast, termination of the tour services. Transfer to the airport. (Breakfast)
We strongly recommend to stay another day in Krakow for only $80 more per person and take an excursion to Auschwitz (about $48 per person). Return home on Sunday.
